• ALPACA BLEND, 85% ACRYLIC / 15% ALPACA: Yarn spun in Bolivia. The alpaca share makes the knit softer in the hand and warmer on the head without bulk. Beige and Grey are the natural shades of this yarn. The same hat is also made in Brown and Red in 100% acrylic at a lower price.
• HAND-KNIT IN BOLIVIA: Each hat is knitted, shaped and finished by hand by artisan knitters in Bolivia, about 4 hours of handwork per hat. Part of the Cozy Ears Handmade Capsule by Fabulous Fido, made in small batches; no two are exactly alike.
• BRAIDED CHIN TIES: Hand-braided ties with a sliding toggle set an adjustable fit under the chin, so the hat stays put on walks without pressing on the neck. Ears stay uncovered and free to move. Pom-pom, tassels and a woven Fabulous Fido tag inside.
• CROWN FIT SIZING, SIZE L: measure your dog, not a hat. Head circumference 18-23 in around the widest part of the head, just in front of the ears; ear-to-ear width 4.25-5 in across the top of the head, from the base of one ear to the base of the other. These ranges already allow for the knit's gentle stretch. Typical for English Bulldog, American Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull, Boxer, about 40-70 lb; breeds and weights are a guide only. If two sizes match, choose by ear-to-ear width.
